Meet Dr. Artley
I've always enjoyed working with my hands, so dentistry was a natural career choice for me . I've been focused on my own practice from the very beginning. When I started my formal education, I made a commitment to excellence and I continue that commitment today. I built my practice on educational excellence and quality care. The field of dentistry is always changing and I stay up-to-date on leading edge techniques and treatments. I'm always looking for ways to advance, whether it be from continued courses or other dental practitioners.

Is a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. A Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry or F.A.G.D. is an award earned by dentists passing a four hundred question exam and must have a minimum of five hundred approved continuing education credits. A council of the Academy of General Dentistry reviews each individual application for the Fellowship Award as standards of the Academy of General Dentistry must be met on dental education before continuing the award process. Obtaining the Fellowship Award is a challenge however, it is a great achievement. The Fellowship achieved by Dr. Artley in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) is a distinction bestowed on less than 7% of all dentists within the United States. FAGD dentists provide top quality dental care for patients through their continuation of education, learning new techniques and latest developments in dentistry. Dr. Artley says “I am humbled and honored to have successfully completed this examination. I am committed to continuing dental education to ensure my patients receive the best quality care.
One of the reasons I love being a dentist is that the possibilities with your teeth are limitless. The high end technology that is available today enables me to give you an amazing, healthy, natural smile. Because my staff and I are trained yearly on the newest, most advanced procedures, I'm always able to exceed my patients' expectations." The opening of a new office in West Melbourne located at 4545 Durham Drive in West Melbourne, Florida is the latest addition to Dr. Artley's vision to offer great customer health services in privately - owned dental facilities.

Registered Dental hygienists (RDH) are licensed oral health professionals who assist the doctor, thoroughly clean your teeth, screen for decay and disease and help educate you about how to maintain great oral health. They often work side by side with the dentist to efficiently complete your care. Not just anyone can become a registered dental hygienist.
First, they must graduate from an accredited dental hygiene school with a certificate, associate or baccalaureate degree. In addition, they must pass a national written dental hygiene exam and a clinical state board exam, as well as meet the license requirements for their individual states. By the time hygienists begin treating patients, they’ve gone through extensive training and testing to become an expert in the field - this makes them an invaluable part of your dental team, ensuring your teeth stay healthy and look and feel great for years to come.
Most people talk about “seeing the dentist,” but in reality, it takes an entire dental team to make your appointment run smoothly. In fact, after the front office staff, the first person you usually see is a dental hygienist who spends time assessing, cleaning and preparing your teeth for the treatment to come.
